It's Almost Here!!!

I can't Believe how fast Christmas has come this year! Every thing is starting to fall into place. The kids are excited that school is out, there is a ton of baking I still have to do, plus I normally have all my shopping done and wrapped. But this year is going faster than the last one. I like all the beautiful decorations, I'm happy there will be snow on Christmas(although the white colored ice we have is a bit odd).
You know when you get that butterfly feeling in your stomach right before something big happens? I have it! And I can choose what it is for too! I can either make it about.... how half of the things I have to do are not even close to being finished, my house(only to me) is a complete disaster, it looks like it exploded. I still have yet to figure out what to do for when Craig's family comes over for dinner, shopping and wrapping, and now the kids are home to be (not) helpful! Plus I feel like I have been ditched by my family because they don't get together anymore for Christmas because we're all to busy doing something else.
OR... I can make it about how excited my kids are by just the idea of ripping apart paper, my decorations have survived Collin! All the old holiday movies. We are supposed to have new snow (not ice) for Christmas! Plus now that Collin is three he seems to be more alert to what it all means, last year it was all about ripping paper, now even baby Jimmie and Hayden are asked the question " They Baby Jesus?" I also like on Christmas eve we turn on the fireplace with just the tree lights on and we read the Christmas story together.
I think I'll keep the second choice in mind. It's nice that for a short while my kids think about others and not just themselves. And why we get saved. It makes for a much nicer holiday! The first idea really has no meaning, yes it is nice to get things but when there is nothing behind it they're just things.
I hope you all have a GREAT CHRISTMAS!

You are doing some really good thinking my friend . . . and some really yummy baking too! I LOVED the turtles . . . every single one of them. And no, I don't share :)!
